Where we're studying

The Gulf of Alaska Project will sample at the locations on the map above and will make regional comparisons between the western and eastern Gulf of Alaska. In the western Gulf of Alaska the shelf is broad, with high demersal biomass but low species diversity.  In the eastern Gulf of Alaska the shelf is narrow and biomass is lower, but species diversity is higher.
